Why agencies order it
The MUTCD requires agencies to use an assessment or management method designed to keep sign retroreflectivity at or above the minimum levels in its Table 2A-5 (MUTCD 11th edition (2023), Section 2A.22). A located, dated sign inventory is the record that method is managed from.
What we do
- Record each sign’s location, type and size, material, support and breakaway type, and mounting height.
- Inspect each sign and support, and log problems as work items for replacement, repair or remounting.
- Where your contract calls for it, label each sign in the field with your agency’s ID number.
