Pavement Marking Inventory & Inspection

A located inventory of every marking you maintain, with its condition, so the next striping program starts from real quantities.

Pavement Marking Inventory & Inspection

Know every marking you own, and which ones need paint.

We drive your network and record every pavement marking on it, located by route and milepoint, with the imagery to show its condition.

Why agencies order it

The MUTCD includes a section on maintaining minimum pavement marking retroreflectivity (MUTCD 11th edition (2023), Section 3A.05). Whatever method an agency adopts, it starts with knowing which markings it has and where they are. A dated inventory also gives you real quantities for budgets and bids.

What we do

  • Record centerlines, edge lines, lane lines, stop bars, crosswalks, turn arrows, channelizing lines, railroad and school markings, ONLY legends, gore and transverse lines, and pavement dots.
  • Locate each marking by GPS and milepoint.
  • Flag worn, missing or non-standard markings as prioritized striping work items.

What you receive

  • A marking inventory with type, location, quantity and visible condition.
  • Imagery for every item, viewable in MapsterStudio.
  • Summary reports and exports for budgeting, crew scheduling and bid preparation.

Our imagery records visible condition. If your program needs measured retroreflectivity readings, we scope that work separately.
