MasterMind Completes Hazard Study for Tuscarawas County, Ohio

MasterMind recently completed a comprehensive hazard study for Tuscarawas County, Ohio, covering 461 miles of county-maintained roadway. The study was conducted in accordance with the specifications outlined in the Roadside Hazard Inventory Criteria Approval Form, as approved by the county agency. The analysis focused on right-of-way maintenance issues within the designated clear zone, a safety buffer that includes potential hazards such as trees, fences, utility poles, rocks, slopes, water bodies, mailboxes,

and headwalls. All identified hazards were evaluated for potential guiderail installations or other corrective actions. The data collected during the study was processed and entered into the RailMaster™ module, allowing the agency to efficiently manage and prioritize maintenance work. Each hazard can be assigned to a work order within RailMaster™, enabling targeted and organized mitigation efforts across the county’s roadway system.

MasterMind Completes Sign Study for Allen and Harrison Counties in Ohio

MasterMind recently completed sign inventory and inspection for Allen County, Ohio, covering 353 miles of county roadways and 259 miles of county roadways in Harrison County, Ohio. A physical inventory was performed to document key details for each sign, including location data, sign type and size, materials, support and

breakaway types, retro-reflectivity, and installation height. Each applicable sign was labeled with a unique, agency-specific number, excluding street name signs, interstate guide signs, and overhead signs. All data was entered into the MasterMind™ SignMaster™ Sign Management Software, with sign IDs. A visual inspection was also conducted to assess the condition of each sign and its support. Any issues were logged and assigned as work items within the system, marked as “Requested by Survey Crew,” providing Allen County with a clear path for maintenance.

MasterMind Completes Centerline Compliance
Study for Allen and Preble Counties in Ohio

MasterMind recently completed a major milestone by bringing 353 miles of county roadways in Allen County, Ohio into full centerline compliance. MasterMind also did the same for 259 miles of county roadway in Preble County, Ohio. This effort ensures that all roadways are

properly marked in accordance with federal and state safety standards, improving visibility, navigation, and overall driver safety. Centerline compliance is critical for reducing accidents, guiding emergency services, and supporting future infrastructure planning. By meeting these standards, MasterMind is helping Allen County maintain safer, more efficient roads for all who travel them.

MasterMind Completes a Pavement Marking Inventory for Greene County, Ohio

MasterMind successfully completed a 332-mile Pavement Marking Inventory for Greene County, Ohio, providing a comprehensive assessment of all auxiliary roadway markings. This included detailed data collection on stop bars, lane lines, channel lines, crosswalks, transitional lines, ONLY markings, transverse lines,

railroad markings, centerlines, edgelines, school markings, turn arrows, and pavement dots. The inventory equips the county with accurate, up-to-date information to support effective maintenance planning, budget development, and safe, well-marked roadways.

MasterMind Completes 37 Speed Zones in Three Different Counties

MasterMind successfully completed 37 Speed Zone Studies across Muskingum, Stark, and Holmes Counties in Ohio, delivering accurate, data-driven insights to support local traffic safety and planning efforts. Using radar counters placed for a minimum of 24 hours at each location, MasterMind collected detailed traffic data, including volume, average speed, vehicle length, 85th percentile speed, 10 pace, gap analysis, ADT, and AADT. Each study included

GPS coordinates, high-definition digital imagery, and custom reports tailored to each site. To aid in visualization and integration, MasterMind also provided GIS shapefiles and large-format plotter map prints, helping the counties make informed decisions on speed regulation and roadway improvements.
